After managing many farms and owning our own horses for years we decided to open our own place. We specialize in training, breeding and boarding, Quarter Horses and Arabian Horses. We are a full service equestrian center located in Illinois.

Colton spent many summers apprenticing with top trainers around the United States. After completing his a business degree at Olivet Nazarene University, he opened a full time training facility out of Smith Horse Company. Colton specializes in training Quarter Horses - from the ground up to world shows in Western Pleasure and the all around events. 

Smith Horse Company is a green horse farm. Our buildings and stalls are made of recycled materials. Our barn is 95% green. We also grow our own organic hay and oats. We have many holistic and natural ways of caring for the horses along side western medicine. We are constantly educating ourselves and growing our knowledge base. Nutrition is one of our biggest concerns, we research and make individual plans for each horse. We also grown our own hay and have our own garden where we cultivate herbs and plants to make healing products for both animals and humans.

We also have a small breeding program dedicated to producing quality performance Quarter Horses and Arabians - many who have gone on to be competitive in the respective circuits.
